Don't Eat KFC Twice in the Same Day! (Week 82)

So I will get to the meaning of the title of this email in a second. But this week (and last week) was just full of Zone Conferences and exchanges with other Elders. Good stuff though.

Earlier this week, we were headed to a Chapel for Zone Conference. In the UK, people park on the sidewalk because there is nowhere else to park. Even though people are parked on the sidewalk, their car still takes up 3/4 of the lane because the roads are so small. Because of this, you often have to drive on the wrong side of the road (which almost everywhere else in the road is actually the correct side of the road...). This was the case for me. I was driving and got into the other lane to avoid the parked cars. After I got pass all the cars, I continued to drive on the wrong side of the road and made a dumb comment about how I was back in America. After a few moments of being dumb, we came up on a bend in the road. It created somewhat of a blind corner. A good idea came to probably hop on over back to the correct side. I did. Like 2 seconds later a car came zipping around the corner........ Oof. That could've been bad. Like really bad.

A scripture in the Book of Jarom describes this experience.

"Behold, it is expedient that much should be done among this people, because of the hardness of their hearts, and the deafness of their ears, and the blindness of their minds, and the stiffness of their necks; nevertheless, God is exceedingly merciful unto them, and has not as yet swept them off from the face of the land."     -Verse 3

Haha, but like I am 1000% sure we can add "the stupidity of their teenage brains" to that list. God helps out a lot. Especially when we aren't doing what we should be. I know for fact that "good idea" to get in the correct lane was from God. He really is in the little parts of life as well as the big.

Anyway, another thing I learned this week was that it is not a good idea to eat KFC for lunch and dinner. If you follow this advice your insides will thank me :)

I hope you all have a good week!!
