Phantom Dan (Week 58)

This past week was super solid. We had some really really solid lessons and even more experiences to learn and grow.

Tuesday. Or maybe Wednesday. Not too sure at this point. Anyway, earlier in the week we had an appointment set up with Dan. It was going to be our first meeting with him. We asked him what was best going to be the best place for him to meet. His response was profound. "The roundabout". He had told us over text, and since there are about 8 and a half trillion roundabouts in England we weren't exactly sure where he wanted to meet. So we texted him asking for clarification. No response. Then after some time we called him. No response. Nice. So we used our best judgement and looked at a map and decided he meant the roundabout nearest his home. So we trekked out there. In the cold rain. I think that is the first time I can say that I have seen my breath in August ðŸ˜‚  We ended up going to his apartment. No response. We called and texted yet again and just kind of waited there. After some time we made our way back and carried on with the rest of our day. He texted us later that night and told us he had been at the roundabout in Acocks Green, which is right in front of our apartment ðŸ¤¦‍♂️...........

Good times.

This week we met with Ethan. Two weeks ago Ethan had showed up to the church building a few hours after church had ended. Luckily our Stake Patriarch was there. Ethan asked our Patriarch for a Book of Mormon. That usually doesn't happen haha. Ethan came to church the next week and then again yesterday! We have taught him 3 times and he absolutely amazing!! He comes from a non Christian (non religious even) background and is seeking for truth. He came to the right church to start his journey on Christianity.

We have had other amazing experiences and meetings with people that I hope to be able to share with you all someday:)

Tomorrow is transfers and I will be staying here in Solihull with Elder Mallonee!! We are stoked to be going another transfer together. I'm learning a lot and very grateful for the hand of God in my life. He is there always. Especially when it doesn't seem like He is.
