14 Months (Week 59)

Well this past week flew by. Some days, actually A LOT of days, on the mission just kind of blend together. It's the weirdest thing ever. The mission is kind of like a roller coaster. You get on and have no control over the speed. You have an idea of how you'd like it to go, but there's always an extra loop or for some reason you start going upside down. There are ups and downs. Sometimes you wanna throw up and other times it's the greatest thing ever. It's kinda weird like that. All you have to choose is to enjoy it. You choose what to get out of it. That's also kind of like life honestly.

Anyway, this week was pretty solid. We met with our friend Ethan at a park this past Wednesday. I think I've already written about how he found us, but if not I'll save that for a future email. We had an awesome conversation with Ethan about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In 2 Nephi 31, Nephi explains that Christ has invited us to Follow Him by being baptized. We did the same for Ethan. He eagerly accepted! His date is for October 3rd, so please keep him in your prayers.

We have been meeting with Helene for the past 3 weeks. Sunday was her first time coming to church. It was sort of a challenge for her to get there because of various different problems. She was met with a warm welcome from the ward. As we sat down, I ignored the little bit of worry I was feeling. I knew that it was going to work out the way it was all supposed to, but I definitely just wanted her to have a first good experience at church. I silently prayed that the Spirit would manifest to here the truth and power of what the speakers said and especially of the Sacrament. The Spirit came in clutch. Like He always does. Helene loved it and was filled with the Spirit. We had a good discussion afterwards with her and some members. She told us she felt strengthened and uplifted! It was awesome

Just a couple of miracles from the week. God truly is a God of miracles.

What else can we do to follow the Savior?
