It has been quite a crazy week! Haha we'll start back on Saturday two weeks ago.
We were playing Soccer (I refuse to call it football) at a park as a Zone. The idea was to bring our investigators and build good relationships with them. We would also invite other random people at the park to come play with us. We had been doing it the entirety of last transfer so we thought to just continue it this transfer. It was also a very rainy and wet Saturday. At first we talked about not even doing it because of the rain, but a lot of the companionships insisted that we do it anyway, so we went ahead and did it. One of the Elders, who was playing Goalie, stuck his hands out to grab the ball. Another Elder didn't see this and attempted to kick the ball. You have probably already guessed what happened by this point.

The senior couple missionaries drove the Elder, whose hand had been kicked (I will refer to him as Jimbo) to the hospital. Jimbo got an X-ray and the British doctors said to come back in two weeks to see if anything else would need to be done. Then for some reason they put a plaster cast on his arm and hand, haha. The X-ray was reviewed by more professional medical workers in the States and it was determined that Jimbo would require surgery as soon as possible. His knuckle and bone in his finger had been shattered and they might have to graft bone from his wrist into his finger. Anyway, Jimbo had to fly back to Utah to get surgery and will be there for several weeks before coming back out.

I am now Jimbo's companion's companion. Haha, we are in a town called Kidderminster. It is a small town kind of away from things, and I think it's just the greatest! We are in a small branch and it has been awesome so far. This past week we were super busy driving missionaries around and moving a lot of people's stuff, but yesterday (Sunday) we were finally able to get some work done in our area.

We went Street Contacting at this park and met a few really sincere people. That's always refreshing to me, haha. Towards the end of our time in the park, we saw this older lady sitting on a bench by herself, off in the distance. We decided to go and talk to her. As we naturally made our way over to speak with her, she got up and began to walk away. Thankfully our paths crossed anyway. We began talking to her and just asking some questions about the area. God and religion came up, it always does at some point, and she expressed to us that she isn't super devout anything. She says her prayers and reads a bit from the Scriptures. We told her that Heavenly Father is happy with her for doing so. As the conversation continued to progress, we brought up the fact that because God loves all of His children, He wants all of them to have His Gospel. We introduced to her the Savior's ministry when He was in the Ancient American continent. She lit up when we shared this news with her. We invited her to read the Book of Mormon and she accepted our contact information.

I know God is watching after her and each one of us. I know He has the power to heal each one of us, because I have sought peace and healing often. It really is amazing. It really is a miracle.
