Fish N Chips (Week 54)

The past two weeks have had some adventures of their own! There are a couple different "city" parts in my area and it has been super cool to do some contacting there. We use public transportation a lot, which adds to the adventure. We have a lot to ground to cover, and it is just awesome!!

Haha so we had this super super cool lesson recently. We were thinking of people we should visit and found this area that caught our eye, so we decided to head over there. We rode the bus out there and knocked on a few people's doors. We got to this one house and they answered! Don't know if we are supposed to give out names or not but we'll just say the dude's name was Jimbo. Jimbo was a referral from a few months ago who hadn't responded to the missionaries in the area. Jimbo was home with his mom, and they let us in. They asked if we were from the church, and we told them that we were! We had some small talk to break some ice and get to business. We started teaching them about the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and it was very powerful! The Spirit was very powerful and Jimbo and his Mom were loving what was being taught and the feeling of the Spirit of the Lord. It was awesome! Everything was going perfect. Wow. We shared Joseph Smith's first vision experience with them  and the spirit slapped their faces. It was sweet! We started teaching about the other parts of the Restoration and then we introduced the Book of Mormon. This is the good stuff right here, but for some reason the moment when we pulled out the Book of Mormon they denied what we were saying and what they were feeling. They told us that the Book of Mormon was false and they didn't believe in it and how it is completely different........ They kindly had us leave and I tell you what, it's very sad to see the pride that sets hold in many people's hearts. It was sad because the Spirit was testifying to them of the truthfulness of the message. It was a big let down but on to the next one I guess.

Public Transportation has been an adventure here. Running to catch a bus makes for quite the thrill. Today we were sprinting to catch a bus back to our dinner appointment, luckily we made it. Other times we aren't so lucky haha. One day we were waiting at a stop and apparently the stop was out of service or whatever. The bus driver drove past us and looked right at us and even pointed at us... so we started running after him and he stopped at the next stop and we were about to get on and then he up and left us.... so that was exciting.

Anyway I love you all and hope you have a great week!!
